How to Make a Claim

Please notify our Claims Department within 21 days of the incident that gives rise to a claim.

Our claims team will review and get in touch if clarification or further documentation is needed.

Medical Certificate (MC)
Completed ECICS Personal Accident Claim Form
Medical report and/or hospital discharge summary
Original medical bills and receipts
Police report
(for accidents or serious injury)
Death certificate
(for fatal claims)
NRIC/Passport copy of claimant and insured person
Additional documents

Who is eligible for ECICS Personal Accident (Children) Insurance?

The Insured Person must be: - the natural child, legal step-child, legally adopted child or ward of the Policyholder; and - age above 1 month old and under 21 years as at the time of the application for the Policy if the Insured Person was not enrolled in a tertiary institution as at that time. If the Insured Person was enrolled in a tertiary institution as at the time of the application for the Policy, he or she must be of an Age under 25 years as at that time; and - unmarried as at the time of the application for the Policy and remains unmarried throughout the Period of Insurance.

What makes ECICS Personal Accident (Children) Insurance suitable for children?

ECICS Personal Accident (Children) Insurance is specially designed for children, offering benefits such as up to 365 days of daily hospitalisation allowance, private tutor expenses and a lump sum education fund in the event of accidental death of the Policyholder or Policyholder's Spouse.

Are there any excluded occupations?

Yes, the following occupations or activities are excluded: - Pilots, aircrew or any occupation involving aviation activities - Full-time military personnel - Police force personnel - Fire fighters - Construction / unskilled workers - Ship crew or workers on board vessels, oil and gas rig workers, offshore workers, stevedores, shipbreakers - Welding - Professional sports teams - Work involving height (exceeding 30 feet above ground or floor level) and/or works underground and/or travel beyond normal speed on land and/or handling of hazardous chemical / electricity - Use of Woodworking tools and machineries - Professional divers and jockeys - Crane Operators

Can I 'free-look' the policy?

Yes, if you change your mind after the policy is issued, please write to us within 14 days from the date of receipt of the policy. We will refund you in full subject to no claims made under the policy.

Do I need to inform ECICS if I changed my job after applying for ECICS Personal Accident Insurance?

Yes. You must notify us if there are any change in circumstances during the period of insurance affecting the risk such as changes in occupation or country of residence.
