Are my valuables covered under ECICS Home Contents insurance?

Money and valuables such as jewellery, watches, works of art and antiques are capped at a sum insured of $1,000 per policy year.

How much coverage do I need to buy?

To determine the right coverage amount for Home Contents insurance, consider the total cost to repair, renovate, and replace all your household items in the event of a total loss (such as fire or major flood).

I already bought HDB fire insurance, do I still need Home Contents insurance?

The compulsory HDB fire insurance covers only the building structure, fixtures and fittings provided by HDB or its approved developers. It does not cover home contents such as furniture, renovations and personal belongings.

If I'm a tenant, what does ECICS Home Contents insurance cover?

ECICS Home Contents Insurance covers the personal belongings you own within the residential premises you’re renting. It also extends to cover your legal liability as a tenant for any loss or damage caused to the rented property.
