You are eligible for ECICS Private Motor Car insurance if: - you and your named drivers (if any) is/are the resident(s) of Singapore possessing a valid NRIC/FIN; - you are the main driver and owner of the Private Car; - you and your named drivers (if any) is/are not an existing ECICS’ Private Motor Car Policyholder with claims. - Neither you nor your named drivers (if any) has had his/her driving license (any class) suspended or cancelled in the last 3 years; - Neither you nor your named drivers (if any) has had his/her private car insurance refused, declined renewal or terminated by any insurers; - Your Private Car is or will be registered with the Land Transport Authority (“LTA”) and; - Your Private Car is not and will not be used for commercial purpose, hire and reward, rental or leasing.
Inform ECICS immediately and we will endorse your policy. Coverage for the new vehicle will commence after a 14-day waiting period from the date of notification.

Claim directly against the Third Party who is liable for the accident. You can bring your damaged car / motorcycle to any of our Authorised Workshops or your own preferred workshop who can assist you to file the Third Party claim; orClaim Own Damage claim under your policy if you have purchased a Comprehensive coverage. You will need to pay necessary Policy Excess (if any). The workshop will then assist you to recover against the Third Party’s insurer for the Excess paid.

No, all earned Family-NCD remains intact so long as the policy is in-force. Each Family NCD member can only utilize their Family-NCD once with us and is not transferrable.

ECICS will be transmitting the details of your Private Car Policy to LTA upon successful enrolment within 3 business days. Please contact our mainline if you require support to urgently submit to LTA for online road tax renewals. Alternative, you can proceed to LTA office with the Certificate of Insurance to physically renewal your road tax at LTA office. The policy that experiences the accident claim will have the entire group of Family NCD members' (named drivers) Family-NCD reduced according to the GIA NCD framework (https://gia.org.sg/). We believe that promoting safe driving is a family affair. However, the other policy with us will not be affected, all earned Family-NCDs in that policy will remain intact.
The Family-NCD will not be affected as it follows the policy's claim experience. However, his past accident history will be taken into consideration when the Family NCD member get a new quote from us.
