Frequently Asked Questions

How does the deductible work?

The deductible is the amount payable by you for each and every claim made against the policy.

Is Public Liability insurance compulsory?

No, while its not compulsory, it’s strongly recommended to protect your business from legal and financial liability if someone is injured or property is damaged due to your operations.

Can I claim against a foreign registered motorist?

It is advisable to make a claim on your own insurance policy. Making a claim against motorists from another country can turn out to be costly and time-consuming. If you are not at fault, your NCD will not be affected.

Are there different redemption limits based on existing accounts?

Yes, Policyholders that are existing Phillip Securities clients can receive up to S$50 worth of Tesla Fractional Shares with each Tesla Motor Insurance policy purchase or renewal through ECICS, subject to the promotion's terms and conditions.

The premium is determined by the plan you choose, not by your age.

Do I need to cancel and buy a new policy if I need to replace my FDW after purchase?

Yes, the policy will need to be cancelled, and a replacement policy issued.

How do I determine the effective date of the policy?

Here's how you can determine the effective date based on each situation:For New FDW:The policy's effective date should be the date your FDW arrives in Singapore. This ensures that insurance coverage begins when the FDW starts her employment duties upon arrival in the country. For Transferred FDW:The policy's effective date should be the day you wish to apply for the issuance of her work permit at MOM. This ensures that insurance coverage is in place when the FDW's work permit is processed and approved for transfer to your employment. For Renewal FDW:The policy's effective date should be one day after the current work permit's expiry date. This ensures that insurance coverage seamlessly continues without any gaps when renewing the FDW's work permit for continued employment.

Can I purchase only the $5,000 Security Bond without the accompanying insurance?

No. The Security Bond is included in our Enhanced MaidAssure along with MOM’s minimum medical and personal accident insurance as a package. We do not offer just the Security Bond.

Is my FDW covered while she is on home leave?

No, she is not covered unless she is travelling with you. We recommend purchasing a separate travel insurance for your FDW as the coverage would be more comprehensive for overseas situations where medical and evacuation costs are expected to be much higher.

What is the difference between Outpatient Medical Expenses (For Accident) and Hospital & Surgical Expenses?

• Outpatient Medical Expenses (For Accident) cover medical bills for outpatient treatments that arise solely from Accident. For example, your FDW accidentally scalds her hand while cooking and requires dressing for the burn.• Hospital & Surgical Expenses cover inpatient medical bills for treatments related to both accidents and illnesses.
